Tangible Ties Sibshops for Siblings of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

Tangible Ties Sibshops provide a welcoming, supportive space for children who have a sibling with developmental disabilities or unique support needs. These monthly gatherings give siblings a chance to connect with peers who truly understand their experiences, share their feelings openly, and be recognized for who they are, not just the role they play at home. Through low-pressure activities, guided discussions, and creative expression, siblings build emotional awareness, coping skills, and confidence while learning that their thoughts and feelings matter. Tangible Ties Sibshops are not therapy, but they are intentionally designed to foster connection, resilience, and belonging in a way that feels safe, fun, and meaningful.

Tangible Ties Sibshops for Biosiblings of individuals who are adopted or in Foster Care

Tangible Ties Sibshops also serve biological siblings of children who are adopted or in foster care, offering a compassionate space to explore complex emotions that often go unspoken. Held monthly, these gatherings support siblings as they navigate changes in family dynamics, separation, reunification, or blended family relationships. Using trauma-informed, relationship-centered activities, siblings are encouraged to share their stories, build coping strategies, and strengthen their sense of identity and belonging. Tangible Ties Sibshops honor each child’s unique experience and remind them that even when family journeys feel complicated, they are not alone, and their voice matters.
